Install instructions

1. Install the Broker Agent on your computer and open it.
2. Sign in to TradeBo inside it, then connect your broker — step by step for Robinhood or Interactive Brokers.
3. The agent starts syncing as soon as your broker is connected, and trades the positions you assign a strategy to in TradeBo.

Using the agent

1. Check that it's healthy

   The top row shows whether the agent is connected to TradeBo and to each broker. Below it, the status card tells you when the last sync ran, how many positions it covered and when the next one is due. The bar splits a sync's time between your broker and TradeBo. How often it syncs is up to you, in Settings.

   

2. Stop and start trading

   Stop trading pauses every account at once. The agent finishes any order it is already sending, then places no more until you press Start trading. Orders already resting at your broker are left as they are. A stop holds across restarts of the agent.

   

3. Read the activity log

   Every sync, stop and start is listed with its time. Green lines went through. Yellow ones need a look: here a sync was skipped because one position had no market price yet. The agent doesn't trade on incomplete data, so it waits and tries again at the next sync.

   

4. Stop trading one account

   Stop trading covers every account. To stop only one, remove it: open Settings, press Remove next to the account and confirm. You can add it back later from the same list, under the same TradeBo login.

   

How it works

The agent sends your positions and balances to TradeBo on the schedule you set — every minute by default. TradeBo replies with the orders to place. The agent places them at your broker. Your broker login never leaves your computer.
