Terms of Service

Introduction & Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using TradeBo, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, you may not use the service. TradeBo is a software tool for automated strategy execution and backtesting.

No Financial Advice

Informational purpose only: TradeBo does not provide investment, tax, or legal advice. All content and functionality are for informational and automation purposes only.

Your responsibility: You are solely responsible for your trading decisions and for the strategies and settings you choose. You must make sure that your strategy and risk settings are appropriate for your situation.

Automated Trading Risks

TradeBo automates "buy lower, sell higher" rules on assets you hold. You should be aware of the following risks.

System failures: Internet connectivity problems, delays, a computer that is asleep or offline, or outages at your broker can affect order placement. TradeBo does not guarantee that orders will be placed or filled at any particular time or price.

Strategy risks: The strategy settings you choose could lead to unintended trades, frequent trading, or positions that do not match your intent.

No guarantee of profit: Results in a backtest do not guarantee future results. Real-market execution, fees, and price movements can differ materially from backtested outcomes.

Your Broker Account

TradeBo works with your broker through the Broker Agent, a desktop app that runs on your own computer. By using it you acknowledge the following.

Account access: You sign in to your broker inside the Broker Agent on your own computer. Your broker credentials are never sent to TradeBo's servers; the Broker Agent holds them on your machine, in your operating system's keychain. You are responsible for the security of that computer and for any orders placed in your broker account while the Broker Agent is running.

Security: We use industry-standard measures, such as encrypted connections, to protect data. No system can be guaranteed to be 100% secure.

Execution: Orders are placed and executed at your broker. You remain subject to your broker's terms, fees, and execution quality.

Credits, Payments & Refunds

Prepaid credits: TradeBo is paid for with credits that you buy in advance. There is no subscription. One credit is one position checked in one engine cycle. How often that happens is your choice in the Broker Agent — every 1, 5, 15 or 30 minutes while markets are open, one minute by default — so how fast you spend credits is under your control. Credits are used only for positions that have a strategy assigned. Current prices are on the Pricing page.

Payments and tax: Card payments are processed by Stripe. Prices shown exclude sales tax and VAT; any tax that applies is calculated at checkout based on your country. If you turn on auto-refill, we charge your saved payment method for the bundle you selected whenever your balance falls to the threshold you set. You can turn auto-refill off at any time in your billing settings.

Expiry: Credits do not expire.

Free credits: Credits granted for free, such as sign-up, invitation, or promotional credits, have no cash value and are not refundable. When the engine uses credits, it draws from purchased and free credits in proportion to how many of each are in your balance.

Refunds when you delete your account: If you delete your account, we refund the unspent purchased credits in your balance. The refund is the number of unspent purchased credits multiplied by the base price of one credit, and it is never more than the total amount you paid us. Card refunds are returned to the card you paid with. Apart from account deletion, purchases are not refundable except where the law requires it.

Chargebacks: If you dispute a payment with your bank or card issuer, we suspend billing on your account. While billing is suspended the engine does not run for your positions.

API Keys, OAuth Authorization & MCP Integrations

TradeBo may offer programmatic access (including the Model Context Protocol over HTTPS) so you can use third-party clients such as AI assistants with your account.

API keys: You are responsible for generating, storing, and revoking API keys. A key grants read-only access to TradeBo's tools; it cannot place, change or cancel an order. Treat keys like passwords and revoke them if they may be compromised.

OAuth: When you authorize a third-party application, you consent to the scopes presented. You can revoke access by revoking tokens or disconnecting the application as described in the product and privacy notice.

Third-party AI assistants: Outputs from TradeBo tools (for example portfolio or run summaries) may be sent to providers you choose when using such clients. TradeBo does not control those providers' retention or use of data once it leaves our service.

Abuse: You may not use API keys, OAuth tokens, or MCP integrations to circumvent rate limits, scrape the service in violation of these terms, or access data you are not entitled to.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, TradeBo and its developers shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, or incidental financial losses, lost profits, or data loss resulting from the use of this automation tool. Your use of the service is at your sole risk.

Prohibited Activities

You may not use TradeBo for market manipulation or for any trading activity that violates your broker's terms of service or applicable law.

Governing Law

[PLACEHOLDER — governing law and venue to be confirmed before launch.] These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction that will be stated here.

Risk Disclosure: Trading stocks, options, and cryptocurrencies involves substantial risk of loss and is not suitable for every investor. Automated trading strategies, including grid and laddered execution, do not guarantee profits and may result in losses greater than your initial investment due to market volatility or system latency. TradeBo is a software tool for strategy automation and does not provide financial advice. Users are responsible for their own configuration, backtesting, and the risks associated with linking third-party broker accounts. Past performance is not indicative of future results.
